Why RKC?

By Iron Tamer

We are a little over a week away from the San Diego RKC Instructor Certification. I am proud to say that I have five of my students from Nashville (one of them has started calling it the Iron Tamer Clan) attending and I expect ever one of them to return home with the eagle on their chest and the letters RKC after their names.

I get asked pretty frequently “what makes the RKC better than  XXX kettlebell instructor course?”

There are a number of reasons that I believe RKC is the best. This is by no means all of them, but here are a few:

  1. We are the original. With out Pavel, we would not be asking questions about kettlebells in the US. Pavel and John Du Cane not only created a market, but they have also created all the competition within that market.  Every kettlebell instructor course in the US can be traced back to the RKC, whether the information was learned from Pavel or publicized by him, RKC is the source.
  2. It’s not about the Kettlebell. With the involvement of Gray Cook and the Functional Movement Screen, as well as the relationship RKC has with Dr. Eric Cobb abd the Z-Health system, we have continually evolved toward improving MOVEMENT first. The Kettlebell is the tool we use to teach principals of movement and strength.
  3. We continously evolve. The material we teach now is not the same as it was even a year ago, never mind several years ago.  It is constantly improving. Constantly digging deeper.

So if you are being told something is the  “most sought after” or “most comprehensive kettlebell certification” and it isn’t RKC, it isn’t true.

If someone claims to be the “number one name” or “most sought-after”  in the world and it’s not Pavel, then that someone is lying.

Don’t settle for imitation. RKC.

Yes, these are just simply the facts : )

I chose the RKC because it is the original and best certification out there, hands down.

No other organization has the depth of knowledge represented in the RKC. It is truly an evolving and improving system, not just a collection of methods. What you learn at the RKC makes all of your other strength- training better, no matter what tools you use.

Best of luck to The Clan. It will be one of the best things you ever do!

It seems these days anyone who’s made a dollar or 2 is trying to start a cert whether they know their stuff or not. And people are taking sub par certs in an effort to make a couple bucks whether they are qualified or not…which brings me to my next point.

Dave, I don’t know if you aware but Nashville needs your help more then ever. I recently watched a youtube video where a trainer was going through a test and I counted no less then 8 things unsafe about his form and methodology and it appears he is going to be setting up camp in your hometown. That means that if people don’t find you first they might go to him and learn unsafe and ineffective ways of training…they get hurt and they’ll blame the kettlebell. This invasion must be stopped.

RKC…more then just a couple letters I put after my name.
